An Al Arabiya correspondent reported that Jazan and other border governorates were shelled from Yemen by Houthi and former president Saleh’s militias. Saudi forces returned fire and shelled rebel concentrations. In Najran and Dhahran Al-Janoub, Border Guard units, joint forces, and Apache helicopters took part in overnight operations against Houthi gatherings. Border guards also patrolled and searched the frontier to prevent infiltration.
