
Ismailia Governor Major General Yassin Taher attended a major memorial organized by the Youth and Sports Directorate, the governorate, and Ismaily Club’s board for the late footballer Mohamed Saeed Shehata, from Abu Shehata hamlet in Nefisha village, Ismailia district. Attendees included governorate secretary general Abu Al-Saud Gahlan, district and city head Al-Amir Abu Zeid, newly elected parliamentarians Abdel Fattah Abdullah, Essam Mansy, and Dr. Sami Hashem, Ismaily chairman Mohamed Abu Al-Saud, Youth and Sports undersecretary Dr. Adel Radwan, club board members, suburban police chief Colonel Ibrahim Sedki, and numerous executive officials.
The memorial included a match between Abu Shehata Youth Center and Ismaily’s under-19 team, ending in a 2–2 draw.
The player’s father was honored and presented with the youth center’s cup. The governor, secretary general, club chairman, attending MPs, and Youth and Sports undersecretary were also honored.
