Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah conferred ranks on a group of new army officers yesterday morning in Lieutenant General Ahmad Al-Khalid Hall at the Defense Ministry, following the emir’s decree commissioning them.
The ceremony began with a reading of the decree. Sheikh Khalid then presented their ranks, and the officers took the statutory oath.
Congratulating them on receiving the trust of the emir, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Khalid said he hoped they would fulfill that trust, uphold their oath, and keep the country’s interests, preservation, and defense foremost. He prayed for their success in study and professional service to their beloved homeland.
Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Khader, Deputy Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Abdullah Al-Nawaf, and senior army commanders attended.
