Hani al-Messiri, Governor of Alexandria, submitted his resignation today, Sunday, and it was accepted by Engineer Sherif Ismail, the Prime Minister, following the flooding of the city’s streets due to heavy rainfall.
Most of the governorates in the country experienced bad weather, accompanied by rainfall that turned into snow in some areas. Alexandria was the worst affected, as the city was flooded, resulting in six deaths caused by electrocution due to a fallen power cable.
