Public Works Minister and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Dr. Ali Al-Omair honored the ministry’s planning and development assistant undersecretary, Dr. Abdulmohsen Al-Enezi, for receiving the twelfth Middle East executive excellence award recently held in Dubai.

The ministry said in a press statement yesterday that Al-Enezi was the first Kuwaiti government-sector figure to receive the award.

Al-Omair expressed happiness at the ministry’s achievement, describing it as Kuwait’s first such award represented by a government-sector leader.

He called on everyone to make further efforts to raise Kuwait’s standing internationally.

Al-Enezi thanked the minister for the recognition, support, and attention to Kuwaiti professionals. He was pleased to represent Kuwait and pledged further efforts to enhance its international reputation.

The annual Middle East Excellence Awards in Dubai recognize leading achievements using approved criteria to select and honor institutions, decision-makers, and senior executives in government and the economy whose economic and administrative accomplishments influence the new regional and global economy.

Previous recipients include former US vice president Al Gore, former French prime minister Dominique de Villepin, Arab Businesswomen Council president Sheikha Hessa Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid, and other prominent Arab and international figures.
