The US-led international coalition said in a statement on Wednesday that Washington and its allies carried out 24 airstrikes against ISIS in Iraq and eight in Syria yesterday, Tuesday.
The coalition said eight strikes near the group’s stronghold of Mosul destroyed targets including weapons, vehicles and fighting positions, and wounded one militant.
The military said four strikes took place near Ramadi, where the Iraqi army is fighting to retake the city from ISIS.
The statement said airstrikes also occurred near seven other Iraqi cities, including Sinjar, Tal Afar, Fallujah and Kisik.
In Syria, strikes destroyed fighting positions, automatic weapons, mortar batteries and other targets in Raqqa, Mare, Hasakah, al-Hawl and Manbij.
