Composer and singer Haitham Ziad expressed optimism despite the circumstances and the shortage of production in Lebanon and the Arab world. “What matters is that we are still carrying on,” he told Annahar.
Ziad continues to work with many artists and is preparing “carefully” for singer Amal Hijazi’s return. He explained that any song for Hijazi would be developed with great care so that it matched the hits she had released since they began working together.
Ziad is completing a song for Myriam Fares that was intended for her latest album. Its release will be decided after she gives birth. He also continues to supervise work by Walid Toufic and Tamer Daher. He said the planned duet with Algerian singer Fella remained under consideration and depended on timing and execution.
Ziad will be in Qatar on New Year’s Eve, then travel to Dubai and Egypt for work meetings.
