The Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday that an Iraqi fighter found a “large” collection of gold jewelry in the possession of a member of the “ISIS” organization in the city of Ramadi, confirming that the fighter handed over the jewelry to his superiors for the purpose of returning it to its owners.
In a statement received by Alsumaria News, the ministry said that “a large collection of gold jewelry was found by one of the brave fighters from our valiant army, belonging to the unexploded ordnance disposal battalion of the Military Engineering Directorate, during the advance of our security forces in clearing the Al-Ta’mim area in the city of Ramadi.” It added that “this jewelry was found by the honorable fighter in the possession of one of the killed terrorists who had stolen it from one of the houses belonging to citizens who were forcibly displaced from their homes by the brutality of the terrorist ISIS gangs.”

It continued, saying that “the fighter returned this trust to the authorities to deliver it to its owners with all honesty and care, and this is a clear image reflected by our brave fighters that contradicts the rumors spread by malicious parties about the security forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces, to prove that our valiant heroes are capable of responsibility and trustworthiness in liberating the land from the defilement of the ISIS invaders and returning the deposits to their owners completely because they are from this people and work for it and sacrifice for it.”
The spokesman for the Joint Operations Command, Brigadier General Yahya Rasul, announced yesterday, Monday (December 28, 2015), the liberation of the city of Ramadi from the control of “ISIS,” noting that the Iraqi flag was raised over the government complex building in the center of the city, while Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi confirmed that he would head to the city of Mosul to liberate it.
