Twenty-five people died and 107 others were injured in a fire that broke out early Thursday morning at Jazan General Hospital in southern Saudi Arabia, as reported by Al Arabiya.
It added that 21 firefighting, rescue and ambulance teams from the Civil Defense, supported by security, ambulance and service teams, responded to the fire. It broke out in the intensive care and maternity units of Jazan General Hospital in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The official spokesperson for the Civil Defense Directorate in the Jazan region said that the injured were transferred to private and public hospitals in the region. Investigations are continuing to determine the cause.
