A mother happened to find her daughter, who had been missing for 4 years, while riding the metro. The girl approached her and asked her to buy the tissues she was selling, like other vendors on the train.
The mother had filed several police reports after her daughter disappeared, but to no avail. Chance reunited them after 4 years when she was traveling from al-Shohada station toward al-Munib.
Her daughter, who has an intellectual disability, boarded carrying a plastic bag of tissues and asked the mother to buy some. As the girl approached, her mother recognized her and called for help from the security personnel on the platform at Opera station.
She filed police report No. 392/52 stating that the girl selling tissues on the train was her daughter, missing for 4 years. The daughter had become separated from her father while accompanying him to visit her paternal grandmother at Shubra al-Kheima station. At that time, the father had reported her missing at Second Shubra al-Kheima police station and at al-Haram police station.
