Hezbollah secretary general Hassan Nasrallah said the organization had the right to respond to Israel’s killing of Lebanese former prisoner Samir Kuntar at the time and place it chose.
Speaking on Monday, he said Kuntar was one of them and had certainly been killed by Israelis. Hezbollah, he said, could respond at the appropriate time, place, and manner: “This is our right, and we will exercise it.”
Nasrallah said young Palestinian men and women’s hearts were filled with love for holy sites and freedom, the same love he attributed to Kuntar. He said Kuntar’s blood and martyrdom would increase their love, awareness, will, and determination and enshrine his memory.
