Chinese Ningxia Delegation Visits Kuwait’s Zakat House

Zakat House received Wang Jin, deputy director of civil affairs in China’s Ningxia region, and his delegation at its South Surra headquarters. They were welcomed by director general Dr. Ibrahim Al-Saleh, external activities director Adel Al-Jeri, and Waleed Al-Awsi of the director general’s office.

Wang thanked Zakat House, its staff, and generous donors for contributions reaching Ningxia through the institution to help poor and needy people. He said Kuwait had long been known for its people’s kindness and charitable and humanitarian work, leading to worldwide recognition of it as a humanitarian center and Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad as a humanitarian leader for his support of countries in need.

Al-Saleh welcomed the visitors and said Zakat House’s leading humanitarian position came through God’s grace and the confidence of individual and corporate donors. It continued to receive and meet the needs of eligible families and humanitarian cases requiring assistance.

He clarified that money spent outside Kuwait came only from donations specifically designated for that purpose, while most zakat and charitable funds supported eligible families inside Kuwait. The delegation then visited the external activities department to review overseas achievements and their positive effects on communities reached by Zakat House.
