Moscow, October 28 (Petra)—Russia, the United States, and Iran agreed that all major regional countries, without exception, should participate in resolving the Syrian crisis.
Russia’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement carried by Russia television last night that the agreement came during two telephone calls between Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his US and Iranian counterparts, John Kerry and Javad Zarif, on settling the crisis.
The statement, describing a call initiated by Iran, said Lavrov and Kerry discussed advancing dialogue among Syrians with international participation and possible ways to settle the crisis, focusing on urgent steps to establish internal Syrian dialogue.
