Only 24 hours after a video spread showing a reckless young man in Taif driving a four-wheel-drive vehicle on two wheels past a security checkpoint, police announced his arrest.
Mecca regional police spokesman Colonel Dr. Ati bin Atiyah Al-Qurashi said Taif criminal investigators, under Brigadier Abdulrahman Al-Thumali’s supervision, had arrested a Saudi citizen in his teens for driving a vehicle without plates on two wheels as he passed a checkpoint the day before yesterday, Sunday.
Al-Qurashi said the young man was detained and the vehicle impounded pending referral to the appropriate authority.
